Beer Burger in Nortd Liberty

Burger was good. Happy hour prices changed. Large beer at happy hour was $3.50 now $10.00. No info given out by lackluster bartender. Won't be back.

How does a place with beer in the name not have the beer I went there for?!? Then when I ordered tea instead they came back 5 min later and didn't have any tea in the place. The burger was definitely mediocre and not worth the high prices. Not to mention the terrible service. Yikes won't be back. Ever.

We had a fantastic experience at BeerBurger. We went there to watch the Hawkeye homecoming game and were surprised that it wasn’t very busy. Comfortable seating to watch games and plenty of TVs all around for viewing.Had a nice Bloody Mary bar complete with plenty of fixings. I thought maybe the price on those was just a tad high, but you can make up for that with the great bacon and smorgasbord of pickled items to add on top. They have a nice menu with plenty of good options. We had the pretzel flight and hamburger sliders which were both very tasty. They also have a 4 page drink menu which is sure to have something on it to satisfy your palate.Now to the staff. AMAZING. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we never were thirsty or hungry. She allowed us to watch the game and enjoy our meal.We’re excited to come back when the weather dries up and try the outdoor seating!

Nice menu, something for everyone. Lots of beers to try. Wonderful wait-staff. Food came quickly and was very good! We will be back.

We had really good service. Black bean burger was a little spicy, really good. Sweet potato fries came with marshmallow sauce. Will definitely have to try the beer thing next time.

Good food and large portions. Service is usually ok. Some of the tables are extremely close together and it can be a little uncomfortable when it's busy.

So I just walked the mile to get here and the place is closed before 7 o'clock on a Friday night. Sign in the window says electrical issues, but I'm wondering if there's more to it with the other poor reviews.

Service was good and the food and beer selection was okay. I could see why people raved about this place when it opened, but it seems like management took their eye off the ball and the quality is slipping. The menus were so worn that you couldn't read entire sections, my group had to compare menus to actually get a decent idea of everything they offered, a couple of the TVs on the wall didn't seem to be working, and the milkshake we ordered had passed melted and was approaching warm by the time we got it. I want to like this place, it should be right up my alley, but they're just not really delivering.

Good spot for sports, food, and a big selection of beer. Smashed burgers are the way to go!

Our trip to BeerBurger was an outstanding experience. The service was outstanding. Our party had a lot of questions about the menu and how the beer cards worked and all of them were answered. The burgers were flat out out delicious. The serving size was very generous, especially the fries. The ability to try small amounts of craft beer was really fun. Of you can't find a beer here then you plain and simply don't like beer. We will most definitely be back.

I don't like the texture of the pretzel bun. The bun needs to be softer than the burger. The pretzel bun is too hard. Also, if "burger" is in the name of the restaurant, they should ask what temperature you like your burger. Not everyone likes their burger to be well done like a hockey puck.

Beer wall selections were fewer than before, and two different pours were flat. Food was ok but slow service despite a nearly empty restaurant.

Food was good, but it took over an hour to get it and I think we only got our drinks refilled maybe one or twice after I asked. Excuses were that the cook left and the bartender was cooking, I have been here all day and I am so tired. Will not be going back again 😪

The place was empty at 3:00 happy hour. The waitress said the managers had walked out so there was only 2 people working. The French fries were cold and sent back when our meals came back the burger were hard and inedible so dog treat. The hot French fries were good . Service was good under the circumstances.

I went during a busy time so our food took a while but that was expected. I ordered the wings, 8 for 12$. They were cold when they got to me and there were 7 wings. For that price there is no side either, very disappointing because the fries are amazing. I got the milk stout and it was horrible, very thin and watery. The environment was very cool and they had lots of games/activities. Willing to give it a second chance because I think this place is better than my experience.

I have no idea how it goes as a bar, but we had a family gathering there. The food was decent, but my two boys split a kids meal that neither of them would touch because it didn't actually taste like mac n cheese. The funniest part to me was that they served my kids their meal on a skillet 😂😂😂 I wouldn't recommend that in the future for toddlers. Someone else will have to review the drinks :)

My brother and I had the dryest "medium rare" burgers of our lives here. Pretty disappointing for a place named Beer Burger. The inside was very nice and they had a great beer selection. Service was also a plus

Service was friendly and quick on refills. Burgers were pretty good. Fries were just okay. They could use more seasoning.

Beautiful outside patio, accommodating and fun staff, food appears to be made from scratch, and their shakes are a must try.

Used to be a 5 stars from me. Pictured is before and after, how the Tenderloin USED to look (nice pretzel bun and crunchy flavor packed breading) to now plain and bland breading with regular bun. Altho the menu description of the Tenderloin has not changed, it definitely has. If you have an awesome recipe for something just leave it the hell alone! Used to be my top favorite loin. Waitresses said there is a new chef that's why it has changed. Service was awful a few weeks ago. 20 min just to get drinks. Well Over an hour for food. I couldnt believe how quickly this place went down hill. I know I had high expectations for this place, which always met my standards before, but no longer does. Was expensive and once worth the price but not anymore. As I hate to say all this..

Poor service. Though not necessarily the wait staffs fault. After sitting and observing for a good 10 minutes before our drinks came out it was pretty apparent this place is poorly managed. There were off duty workers wandering around the kitchen and bar interfering with the on duty staff and acting like a general nuisance. Dirty tables. My kids milk was warm and smelled bad. I don't normally leave such negative reviews but this wasn't the first time it happened.

Service and atmosphere were nice. But we waited over 30 mins for our food and our burgers were all well done. They didn't even ask us how we would like our burgers cooked (med rare). Sigh, so much for a burger joint. P.S. I requested gluten free everything and still got sick.

Loud, so unbelievably, constantly loud in this place. :( And somewhat over priced. I have never felt like I've gotten my money's worth when I come here.

This place use to be great. I called and ordered the chicken and waffles for carry out. When I open the box there was 2 frozen waffles and 2 pieces of reheated kfc chicken. The normal waffles are caramelized these were 2 flavorless out of the box waffles. The chicken taste exactly like reheated kfc chicken. A refund was issued and everyone there was clueless.

I was excited to try this place! However, I was surprised by the results. I took in my 3 daughters on a Saturday night with a reservation and we ordered milkshakes, 2 kids meals, and 2 burger meals. The milkshakes were delicious and were served to us on time, but it took 45 minutes to get our food. The burger was overcooked and dry, and as a result the waitress offered to cook another, but I did not want to wait any longer. I would not recommend this place, but if you end up going I hope you have a better experience.

This used to be one of my favorite places. I at one time wrote a five star review and personally contacted Beer Burger letting them know how much I loved it and the bartender Jenny that helped us. Since then, wait staff has gone very down hill. You can barely get waited on. We were seated outside, by my request. Table top was filthy, bird debris on it and I sat in a wet chair. Menus are barely readable.

Pretty good food, great service. Went over the lunch hour on a Monday and it wasn't very busy. No wait on seating and food came out in 10 minutes.

Best burgers in North Liberty for sure! Great appetizers and drink menu. Love the decor and atmosphere. Lots of room and no long wait times. Have a great new breakfast menu as well. I would love for them to add to the dinner menu though, it needs some new items once in a while. There are not that many restaurants in North Liberty so if you want people to keep returning you need to change it up from time to time.

The BEST BURGER i have ever eaten. This is a new beer concept but its unique. The food was exceptional.

Food was excellent. Service was slow.Ordered a drink at 5:40 as a Happy hour drink.Didn't get it until 6:10 charged full price. Total Time from walking in til food served 1 hr. Great place if you want to be over charged and wait a Long Time to eat!

A great place to spend a weekday afternoon chatting with friends that you don't see very often. The food was good. The burgers were well done. Not to my liking, but the waitress didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and I didn't think to tell her. The optional side salad was huge.I would definitely go again. Just make sure to tell them how you want it cooked.

I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. My and the wife ate here it is was nice laid back service. The food and drinks were great. 09/01/2019

I truly regret taking my family here tonight. The limited food menu had a couple of things we would have been interested in, but they were out. Likewise the beer -- the ones on the list we were interested in were put. The staff was slow and inattentive. It was difficult to flag down a server so we could remind them again that we wanted a little food or even water and silverware. We ordered shakes and it took more than an hour to get them. Overall it was a disappointing and frustrating experience.
